【記者陳鵬雄�北竿報導】看似美麗的沙灘海域卻暗潮洶湧，北竿坂里沙灘海域因退潮時潛藏致命的離岸流，現階段仍無法開放水上活動，相關單位基於安全考量，仍公告坂里海域禁止從事游泳等水上活動。
坂里沙灘面積寬度約五百公尺，這座沙灘理應成為夏日吸引戲水遊客最佳的水上活動區域，但相關活動自始無法在這片海域推動，主要原因是坂里位於向東開放海域，特別是退潮時暗藏離岸流，若在海上從事游泳等水上活動，很可能在不自覺的情況下遭離岸流帶離海岸，容易發生危險。
基於安全考量，主管機關馬管處不久前為此邀相關單位座談討論，各界仍對禁止從事水上活動達成具體共識，繼續公告禁止。坂里沙灘雖公告禁止從事水上活動，但仍開放沙灘陸地區域供遊客遊玩。
Alluring but Dangerous Ban Li Beach, Beware of Rip Current Beneath Stunning Azure Blue

Undercurrents are turbulent in this seemingly stunning sunny beach area. The beautiful Ban Li Beach in Beigan was a pity for not allowing visitors to play in water due to its deadly rip current along the shore, especially during the ebb.
Ban Li Beach is the widest beach in Matsu area, the width of its vast territory is about 500 meters; which should make this spacious land a paradise for sightseeing, relaxing, and water splashing. Nevertheless, owing to unstable currents lurk under its glistening crystalline waves, the Authorities kept warning and restricting activities after several discussions, because it’s obviously too risky.
For the safety concern, all activities in water are forbidden, except that visitors may still stay on bay and play in the sand, and you’re welcome to enjoy the sunshine with the luxurious scenery of Ban Li Beach.
